  1. David DYC says:

So I’m starting out my dropshipping store and I want to know if it is possible to pay using my PayPal business debit mastercard?

And if I could, can I only buy from sellers that show that they accept PayPal?

    • Dilawar Hussain says:

AliExpress does accept Mastercard so it shoud work regardless of PayPal acceptance. Better yet, you should give it a try to see if it’s working or not and do let us know how it works out.

  2. Charlene tull says:

I have always paid with discover, now my orders are not going thru, there is no place to check the payment options.

  3. Ann says:

Paypal is a far more superior payment method for the buyer, since it allows 4 free return shipping to the seller incase the buyer wants to return the items for whatever reasons you can think of such as change of mind, incorrect size etc.

Alipay should try to match Paypal if it’s that good.

  4. Maya says:

Are there any Alternatives to PayPal that I can use on AliExpress or do I have to only stick to PayPal?

    • Dilawar Hussain says:

Well, AliExpress doesn’t allow PayPal on a mass level so you are always going to need a different payment method to work on AliExpress. Your credit/debit cards work on the site, AliPay also works, so these should cover you when you want to make a purchase on AliExpress.

  5. maayan says:

I checked it with product that I bought with PayPal before and didn’t see this option eighter.

      Hey Maayan,

Does Aliexpress stop working with PayPal?
I’m looking for products that have PayPal payment option and don’t see them anymore.
The PayPal icon is missing from every product I click on.
I also clicked on products that I bought with PayPal to check this option and in the link I can see this option is missing.

Can you tell us something about this issue?

        Thanks

  7. nicole says:

Why is listed as as option for payment at many stores on AliExpress? Is it fraud?

    • Dilawar Hussain says:

It works for some stores. Probably when you are shipping to US/UK, some sellers offer PayPal. It’s not a scam.

  8. Olivia aiden says:

I heard AliExpress allows PayPal payments on selective suppliers so How do I make payments to those suppliers? Should I approach them directly or via AliExpress?

    • Adil Malick says:

AliExpress does not allow PayPal as a payment method anymore.
However, you can directly contact suppliers to ask them if they will accept payment via PayPal. If they do, then you can send them the payment through PayPal.
Be wary of the fact that if you pay the invoice via Gifts/Family/Friends option on PayPal, then you will not be eligible for buyers protection.
So, when making a payment or paying an invoice through PayPal make sure to use “Payment for Goods” option as it will provide you with buyer’s protection should anything go wrong with the transaction.

Back in 2010, PayPal established a partnership with AliExpress and AliBaba to provide an instant payment option for the E-commerce stores. However, this partnership only lasted for a year, as there was a dispute between the two conglomerates on the processing fee.
PayPal demanded a staggering 7% for transactions on AliExpress. Before we knew it, on August 2011, AliExpress removed PayPal from its payment gateway. However, you still have a myriad of choices to make your payments. The ecommerce store supports:
      1. Bank Transfers
      2. Credit Cards
      3. Debit Cards
      4. WebMoney
      5. Western Union
      6. MasterCard
      7. Qiwi
      8. Visa
