What is Drop Surfing? – It’s a scam is what it is!

You’ve heard about drop surfing, haven’t you?

Some Digital Marketing guru won’t stop talking about it, right?

That piqued your curiosity, maybe, investing in their course isn’t a bad idea after all?

WRONG!

You don’t need a course or coaching to understand drop surfing or how it works. You want to know the difference between drop surfing and drop shipping?

NOTHING!

There’s no difference. It shouldn’t even be a term, drop surfing should be “Smarter drop shipping” or something along those lines.

Just because it has “Surfing” in it, doesn’t make it something awesome.

Don’t fall for the trap, don’t pay for a course on this ridiculous term.

Let me tell you what exactly is dropsurfing and how you might already be doing it without even knowing.

What is Drop Surfing?

Drop surfing is a relatively new term that has picked up some steam. It’s supposed to be a new way of doing dropshipping where you get to enjoy the best prices on trending products.

It’s pretty much like surfing on a wave of suppliers where you go from one supplier to another to get the best prices on the products.

Simply put,

If you are selling a product, but there are 5 different suppliers (with top-ratings) that provide the same product then you will often opt for the supplier with the cheapest prices to maximize your profits. However, once that supplier increases its prices, you will head over to the next supplier that provides the cheaper price.

That is the entire concept of dropsurfing where you just go from one supplier to another in search of the lowest prices.

Drop Surfing Vs. Dropshipping

Ok, this is the fun part.

Dropsurfing is just a marketing term!

There are many people who will tell you that dropsurfing and dropshipping are different. They will say stuff like ” I will tell you how to start drop surfing or drop surfing strategy is better because you use multiple suppliers, blah blah, save money, blah”

But, that’s just BS. Period.

In reality, intelligent dropshippers have been “Drop surfing” for many years. It’s nothing new, coining a fancy new term for some old-school trick doesn’t make it new or unique. There’s a high chance that you’ve been drop surfing already without knowing it.

Veteran dropshippers have always had multiple suppliers for the same products. They use the ones that provide them with the lowest prices and move onto the next one if their current supplier ups their prices. They are always on the hunt for suppliers with the lowest prices.

That, my friends, is the essence of drop “surfing”.

But, why did this term (drop surfing) pick up steam in the last 12 months?

Well, to be honest, it’s a made-up name that is being used by your “Marketing gurus” and “Wiz kids” to market and push their digital courses to confuse newbie dropshippers and trick them into buying a useless course that pretty much tells them to “find multiple suppliers for dropshipping products and use the cheapest supplier.”

You know what that means?

It means that you are WASTING your time!

Just use your common sense and find the suppliers that offer lowest prices. It ain’t rocket science, alright.

Anyone can do it without having to shell out big bucks for a “Drop surfing” course.

Conclusion

Just don’t fall for the Instagram gurus and Facebook Wizards’ nonsense terms!

Chances are you’ve been drop surfing long before these so-called “gurus” came up with the term. It’s just what every drop shipper already does, and if not, then they should.

Find multiple wholesalers, get the cheapest prices, and keep riding the wave (Ride the wave > drop surfing, woah! Get it?) of different suppliers to enjoy the highest profit margins.

You don’t need a course, you don’t need an ebook, or coaching to understand this concept.
