Contextual Links

This is the most fun and challenging part of the SEO.

In this, you have to get the backlink from different websites with high domain ratings and domain authority. To get the backlinks, we would target the websites with at least 70 DA and DR.

To generate the links, we adopted the Skyscraper link building technique.

SkyCrapper Technique Overview

The Skyscraper Technique is a link building strategy where you improve existing popular content and replicate the backlinks.

Here’s how SkyCrapper Technique works:

  1. Find a relevant piece of content with lots of backlinks;
  2. Create something way better;
  3. Ask those linking to the original article to link to your superior content instead.

In simple words, it is more going in-depth of competitors posts and checks out the websites they have generated their backlinks.

The tools that we use perform this activity were,

  • Ahrefs
  • Hunter.Io
  • Mail tracker

We started with Ahrefs.

First, we entered our focus keyword in the keyword explorer option to see the top blog ranking on this keyword.

Then, we copied the url of the first ranking article and pasted in the site explorer to check the backlinks

After that, set the DR in descending order to see the top DR website on top.

Ahrefs-DR

These are the top website from where our competitor generated backlinks. To boost the ranking, we had to replace our competitor’s link with our link via outreaching.

Now, the tool hunter.io came into action.

What is Hunter.IO?

Hunter is the leading solution to find and verify professional email addresses.

Just download its extension, and you can find the professional emails of every concerned authority from staff writer’s email to the admin’s email.

hunter.io

We just went to the websites clicked the hunter.io extension and found all the relevant emails to conduct an outreach activity and generate a backlink from them.

From this point, only two things will matter now to get contextual links

  • The Content of Article
  • The Content of Email Pitching

But first, you need to have a topnotch email template to convince the receiver to at least open and look into your message, the rest of the work will depend on the power of your article content.

It is better to do some studies regarding outreach activities. The email should be brutally honest and sarcastic at the same time. Take some time to be creative in generating outreach emails.
