Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

The unique thing that Spreadshirt brings to the table is the Marketplace. The marketplace lets you sell your designs without having to worry about your shop and marketing at all.

You just upload your designs to the marketplace and buyers can put those designs on any product and buy it. You receive the commission for the design everytime it gets sold. Most other platforms just let you put up different products up for sale, but Spreadshirt allows you to sell your designs directly and it’s up to the buyer to choose the product they want to put your design on.

Pros:

  • You can make a great shop on this platform that matches the theme and tone of your website.
  • The selection of products is, and it includes a lot of different brands.
  • The print quality is top-notch, and customers love how the prints come out on various products.
  • They automatically send you income tax files at the end of the year, if required.
  • You can choose to put your products on the marketplace or have them in your exclusive shop.

Cons:

  • If you want the higher quality print, then you need to stick to a maximum of three colors.
  • The product catalog is quite lacking, and there’s still room for more product addition.
  • You are limited to using only certain ink colors.

How Spreadshirt Works

Spreadshirt is a unique Print on Demand platform that offers services more suited towards designers, but still a non-designer can also make great profits through this platform as well.

How can you make money on SpreadShirt?

In our Spreadshirt review, we noticed that it works in two different ways and you can even combine both of the methods to make money and maximize your profits.

When you upload a design on Spreadshirt, it asks you to either sell it on the Spreadshirt Marketplace or create your own shop on the platform known as Spreadshop. How Spreadshirt Works

Selling the design on marketplace means that everyone on Spreadshirt can put your designs on their preferred items and sell it while you make a set amount of commission on each sale.

You can use our the tools to come up with a store name & its slogan.

Opening a Spreadshop means that you get to put your designs on your preferred items and sell them exclusively on your shop. You make a predefined profit on each sale that you get to set.

However, keep in mind that both approaches have their ups and downs. If you are putting your designs up on the marketplace for sale then you get free traffic through Spreadshirt’s own marketing efforts and other people pretty much promote your designs. But, you only make a percentage on each sale which is lower than what you could make if you were selling the designs yourself.

On the other hand, if you sell the designs through the Spreadshop then you can set the profit yourself giving you the opportunity to make as much as you want, however, with this approach you severely limit your exposure and you have to pretty much market your shop and products by yourself which limits your sales and profits.

So, good idea is to start by selling your designs on the marketplace and once your designs become popular, you can branch out to your own shop and start selling your designs for more profits.
